"Editing my review after hearing back from the office. I was disappointed by both the communication from Alison’s agency and how she personally handled my feedback.
This was my first policy I initiated with her in my own name, and I was frustrated to learn I’d missed the Drive Safe & Save enrollment deadline without feeling it had been clearly communicated to me. I texted “I hate you” to what I believed was an automated, no reply inbox out of frustration once I got the notification, then apologized and explained the actual issue when I received a reply.
What stood out was Alison’s response. Rather than addressing the communication breakdown, she focused on being hated over $9 and defending her small business. I had offered constructive feedback, but her response came across as defensive and dismissive.
Mistakes happen. What matters is how you handle them and whether you can accept feedback without making it personal. Unfortunately, this interaction undermined my confidence in the agency.
Alison’s defensiveness did make me think about how I respond to automated text messages and reminded me of everything going wrong in my life that made me miss the deadline to enroll. She started off by saying “Can we try to help you?” But based on her follow up to my feedback, that was clearly not her intent.
I feel sorry I even called to try to figure this out. You made me feel like sh*t, Alison, for trying to express feedback. 9 dollars isn’t nothing to everyone."
